In a gesture of generosity and commitment to the community, Velas Vallarta partnered with various organizations, including the DIF Vallarta (National System for the Integral Development of the Family) and the Mexican Timeshare Developers and Promoters Association (Adeprotur), to hold the first golf tournament “Among Friends, Playing to Help.”
The event’s main objective was to raise funds for the ‘Vida Nueva’ shelter, an institution that provides care for vulnerable girls and boys.
Chuyita López, President of DIF Vallarta, expressed her gratitude for the contribution, emphasizing its positive impact on the well-being of the children residing in the shelter. Thanks to the solidarity of the tournament participants, an impressive sum of $80,000 pesos was raised, a clear demonstration of the community’s commitment and empathy.
During the award ceremony and closing of what is envisioned as an annual event, praise was given for the participation of all those who came together on the golf course. López underscored the importance of this contribution, as it will allow for renovating the shelter’s facilities, providing the children with a more welcoming and comfortable environment.
