Here’s the list of what you need:

  • 1 kg of shrimp
  • 180 g of butter
  • Minced garlic
  • Wooden skewers
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Lime
  • Annatto or curry

Let’s get to work

  1. Put the shrimp on the skewers. Add salt and pepper; let them rest in the refrigerator for 5 minutes. 
  2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan to prepare the marinated sauce (a key recipe element). 
  3. Once perfectly melted, add the minced garlic, annatto, vegetable oil, and a pinch of salt. Let the mixture simmer for 20 minutes. 
  4. Brush this hot mixture over the shrimp with a kitchen brush and place them on the grill. Repeat this step at least three times while they are grilling. 
  5. Finally, add lime, salt, and chili before eating. We recommend serving them with rice and salad.
